Elena Sergeyevna Berkova (Russian: Елена Сергеевна Беркова, born on April 1 1985, in Nikolayev, Ukraine) is an Ukrainian retired model, television host, singer and actress (including hardcore porn star) of Jewish descent. She is also knwn as Alena, Elona, Penelope, Ilianna, Lina and others.
Biography
Berkova started modeling in her teen years and in 2001 met, later married an Armenian magazine producer named Albert. This practically boosted her model career, even if they divorced three years later. In 2002 she worked with the Norwegian erotic photographer Petter Hegre. After she moved to St. Petersburg, in 2003, she made her hardcore debut for a Russian "defloration" website. Then she performed in a USW anal sex production.
In 2004, she joined the popular show Dom-2 on the Russian TV channel 'TNT' and her porn career was soon made public. Berkova became a celebrity in Russia and she benefited from a Russian porn film, which had a title that reflected the curiosity and ambitions of male viewers: Dom-2 or How to make love with Elena Berkova. This film immediately became the best-selling hardcore video in Russia. She gained so much popularity that her later porn films (all of the US productions) were released in Russia bearing titles named after her.
Berkova was then cast in a controversial Russian porn movie Yulia directed by Alexei Mitrofanov, a member of Duma, in August 2005. The film is a parody of the relationship between Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko and Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili. However, she refused the lead role. The same year Berkova got remarried to a wealthy Russian businessman, with whom she lived for three months before getting separated in early 2006, and finally divorced in mid-2007.
In 2006 Elena appeared as a singer in a pop music girl group Min net!. Currently, Berkova has been cast in another porn project (while hosting for "Bessporno" TV show on Muz-TV), although she herself has stated she was quitting her pornographic career in early 2007.
