The Internet Movie Database lists her as born on February 16 1966, while some other sources (e.g., Internet Adult Film Database) cite the same date in 1971, and Luke Ford cites her as saying it was February 16, 1970 in La Capita, Mexico) is a porn star.

After making over 200 films in a few short years, Rio fell on hard times and left the porn film industry in late 1994. She continues to work as a stripper and feature dancer, and is presently involved in a relationship with Lacy Lee.

She is a regular contributor to Beverly Hills Outlook, a biweekly review of the arts and culture in Southern California, where she reviews Pornographic films.
