Cara Lott (born ✦August 6, 1961 - †Mar 19, 2018) is an American pornographic actress.
Lott was born in Huntington Beach, California. She grew up in a middle-class Catholic family and spent most of her childhood at the beach. Her career in adult entertainment started when she was just 18. She asked a friend to take some pictures of her in lingerie atop the family piano. She sent the pictures to Hustler and soon afterward received a call to come in for an interview. Within several months she went on to be the centerfold and cover girl for the December 1981 issue. Cara subsequently signed up with the top talent and nude modeling agency World Modeling Agency in Sherman Oaks, California and posed for photo shoots for such men's magazines as Club, Cheri, Velvet, Genesis, and High Society. Lott soon thereafter began performing in explicit hardcore movies and, in the wake of establishing herself in the adult industry, took to the road as a feature dancer at gentlemen's clubs in America, Canada, and Japan. She was selected to pose and be the centerfold for the December 1981 issue. While taking pictures at Hustler Studios, she encountered another model who gave her a phone number of a reputable modeling agency. Cara called the number and immediately began shooting for nude magazines. Soon afterward, she began acting in adult films. Round one of her career was from 1981 to 1991.
She is credited as having a cameo in Brian DePalma’s 1984 thriller Body Double as "Girl #2 in Bathroom” (as Pamela Weston).
After 1991, Lott took a break from films to go back to college to complete her degree. She was arrested for prostitution around 1990, but the charges were later dismissed.
She came back to the adult industry to make six more films in 1997-1998. She made a total of about 255 movies.
As of January 2005, she became once again active in the adult film industry as a 40+ model and MILF (Mother I'd Like to Fuck) actress and have appeared on the cover and in the pages of both Girls Over Forty and Forty Something magazines. In January 2006, she was inducted into both the AVN Hall of Fame, as well as the Legends of Erotica hall of fame. In the mid-to-late 80s she was married for a time to bisexual porn actor Vladimir Correa.
Death
The Internet Movie Database (IMDb) reports that she died March 19, 2018 after a long battle with a debilitating disease.
