A strap cage is a tube-like arrangement of leather straps on a circular base which is used in conjunction with a hoist as a bondage device. The strap cage is placed on the floor under the hoist and the captive steps onto the circular base. With the captive holding their hands at their sides, the captor pulls up the tube until the opening is above head height. The opening is then attached to the hoist and the strap cage lifted off the ground. Once the cage is off the ground, the weight of the captive causes the straps to pull in towards the center, pressing on the captive and preventing movement.
