Will daddy spank you
Just before I got out of the Navy, I was stationed in San Diego. My wife Connie and I had become friends with another Navy couple who had a preteen boy.
The couple thought it would be nice to have another child, perhaps a girl to go with their boy.
For the first four or five months, they would talk to the boy about the impending birth and the boy would put his hands on mommy's tummy wherein the impending "sister" was currently living. About the end of the second trimester, the fetus decided (without consulting other members of the family) to abort itself.
Now came the really hard part. Trying to explain to the boy child that mommy had lost the baby. Obviously, the boy did not understand the full implications of a miscarriage.
A few hours later, out of the blue, the boy asked mommy, "Is Daddy going to spank you?"
Taken completely aback she asked her son, "Why would Daddy spank me?"
"Last summer, when I lost my bicycle, Daddy gave me a spanking. You had the baby a lot closer and you lost it, so is Daddy going to give you a spanking."
