What is The Woodhull Freedom Foundation?

The Woodhull Freedom Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that works to affirm sexual freedom as a fundamental human right by protecting and advancing freedom of speech and sexual expression.

WFF promotes sexuality as a positive personal, social, and moral value through research, advocacy, activism, education, and outreach.

What is The Woodhull Freedom Federation?

The Woodhull Freedom Federation is a 501(c)(4) non-profit organization whose purpose is identical to the Foundation's, but whose work is accomplished through strategic advocacy campaigns.

Victoria Woodhull (1838-1927) was a progressive and outspoken nineteenth-century activist who introduced sex-positive values to America during the repressive Victorian era. Far ahead of her time, Woodhull spoke frankly on the topic of sexual freedom and advocated for women's equality in the home, workplace, and in the political arena.

What We Do

The Woodhull Freedom Foundation and Federation (WFF) work through research, advocacy, and public education to affirm sexual freedom as a fundamental human right.

We address laws, government policies, and corporate practices that restrict sexual freedom and discriminate against people on the basis of their consensual sexual expression.

The Foundation addresses these issues through research and public education, while the Federation conducts strategic advocacy campaigns.

The global perspective of the Foundation and Federation relies on research and analysis of laws, judicial decisions and enforcement practices.

Through education, we seek to mobilize diverse communities, write model legislation, build alliances, and change public attitudes to advocate for the sexual rights and responsibilities of all.

As of January, 2007, Carol Queen was on the Board of Directors for WWF
