Sugiura Noriois a Japanese photographer and bondage artist.
Sugiura Norio started photographing tied women in the 1970s as an assistant to Oniroku Dan at his Oni Pro company. This label produced soft porn products - videos, TV shows, live shows. There he met and worked with Minomura Ko and Tsujimura Takashi and other masters of that period.
Later, he became one of the editors of SM King and started filming himself. Soon Sugiura's shibari photographs were published in top SM magazines, including "SM Select", "SM Mania" and "SM Hi-Shōsetsu" ("SM Secret Novel").
In the 1980s, he began his famous and enduring collaboration with the late Nureki Chimuo, whom I wrote about above. Since 2009, he has worked closely with Naka Akira and most of the other famous kinbakushi in Japan.
