The Skin Two Rubber Ball Weekend was a weekend of fetish partying hosted by Skin Two. It was last held at the end of May 2011. It included cabaret nights and cocktail parties along with the infamous Torture Garden special.
The Skin Two Expo was a major part of the weekend - a daytime shopping fair. You could shop for clothes, shoes, accessories, jewelry, equipment, furniture, clubs, holidays, art, photography, books and lots more - and meet friends for coffee and a chat.
Historical information
- Each October, a weekend is organized by Skin Two magazine, comprising an expo and several parties including the Rubber Ball itself. The Rubber Ball is one of the few fetish events to have crossed over into the vanilla world and is often featured in publications such as Time Out. As its name suggests, this is a party with a dress code that favors rubber (though PVC and, for males, transvestism are common). The standard of dress at the Ball is extremely high, with many clubbers creating outfits, especially for the ball. The Rubber Ball differs from most other Fetish clubs run in London in that it is very much a fetish event (where you go to see and be seen) as opposed to a SM event (where you can play in public); there is no dungeon at the Rubber Ball.
- The 2007 Skin Two Expo was on Friday 5th October 11 am to 7 pm and Saturday 6th October 11 am to 5 pm at Excel, Royal Victoria Dock, London, E16 1XL. There is no dress code for the Skin Two Expo, but lots of people dress up. No full-frontal nudity. The Ball was on Saturday 6th October 10 pm - 6 am at SeOne Weston Street London SE1 3QX.
- The 2008 Skin Two Expo, will be at the University of London, in Malet Street, London WC1E 7HY on Friday, September 5th through Sunday, September 7th.
