SPICE (BDSM organization)

S.P.I.C.E. "SouthFlorida People Involved in Consensual Endeavors", is a not-for-profit BDSM/fetish support and educational organization based in southeast Florida. Southflorida People Involved IN Consensual Endeavors, Inc. is a Florida Domestic Non-Profit Corporation filed On February 3, 1997. It is currently under suspension.

History

After an earlier South Florida organization known as "Black Orchid" folded, a discussion was held in the living room of MastaC and t.j. with friends Master Ray and sarah about starting a new BDSM support and educational organization. A board was assembled, and a Florida not-for-profit corporation was established. An introductory party was promoted and held in December 1996, which was held in the old Club Enigma in downtown West Palm Beach, Florida. The first official meeting was held in January 1997 at Club Kink in Pompano Beach, Florida. Membership topped the 200 mark the first two years and has continued to be one of the largest and most viable groups of its kind in the United States.

Monthly educational meetings are held on the 3rd Sunday each month. Special Interest Groups (SIGs)are held throughout the month at various locations throughout South Florida.

OTC - "Off The Cuff" is a discussion group that was started in 1998 and met monthly for persons interested in learning and sharing about BDSM practices.

2006 is the 10th anniversary year for the organization.
