- Our company
The company RIMO was founded in the 1990s by Monika and Jürgen Ritter[Source 1] - at that time under the name of RIMO Mantelmode (engl: "coat fashion"). The original intention was to offer custom raincoats, rain capes and general rainwear as bespoke designs. After the first coat models were made of robust rain nylon, the production quickly changed to vinyl fabric and latex as preferred production materials.
RIMO models always have stood out from the crowd with their sometimes opulent, daring and eye-catching design. A quality feature always was and still our solely germany-located production. Also the consideration of individual customer wishes and custom-made products belong to our unique selling point on the German and the world market.
In January 2018, there was a generational change at the top of the company: Tobias Ritter took over his parents' company on 01/01/2018 and has been managing the company since then at the new location in Wuppertal.
