Ren Yagami

Ren Yagami is a Japanese bakushi.

Ren Yagami is a professional Bakushi from Japan. He was born on (✦May 18, 1984 - ) in Tokyo, where he currently lives and works. In the book "Kinbakushi and Bakushi Representing Japan", published in March 2019, he is listed among the top ten Japanese masters.

From the age of seven, he has been engaged in Japanese martial arts, including aikido, kendo, jiu-jitsu, and others.

Shibari began to master at the age of 17. He calls Nawashi Kannu his teacher, with whom he studied for about a year and a half and who taught him basic skills. Then for eight years, I studied and tried various styles and techniques. Ultimately, by combining his knowledge of martial arts, anatomy, and shibari and adding an undisguised love for sex, he created his own style, which he calls SEKIBAKU.

The SEKIBAKU (Yagami Style) style consists of three elements:

  • Taijutsu is a technique for controlling and using the body.
  • Nawashuzi is a technique for tying the body with ropes.
  • Kyusogaku - impact on pain points, erogenous points, healing points, etc.

The SEKIBAKU style looks similar to other styles, but in reality is radically different from them in that it is based on jiu-jitsu techniques.

Professionally engaged in shibari since 2011. Currently actively acting in Japanese adult films at the Dogma studio in BDSM and porn. He teaches in more than ten countries, actively teaching his style to those around the world. In addition to Japan, there are dojos in Spain and Bulgaria where certified instructors help beginners learn the basics of the Yagami style.

Here is what Ren Yagami has to say about his style:

My style is different from the style of other masters. It can be said that my shibari is not only the outer, visible part. Imagine a cup of coffee. You know that there are different actions with shibari - you can do different types of harnesses, suspensions and so on. Here is a cup. This is the outer part of the coffee cup. I love coffee. Imagine the image that the coffee inside the cup - and for me the most important thing - is the inside of the shibari. The way I connect with my partner.

Whatever beautiful coffee cup we use, if the coffee itself is not tasty, it will not make sense. For me, it is the inner content that is very important. It is not so much the binding itself that is important, the most important thing is that there is a connection between the impact on the body with the impact on the consciousness and soul of the partner.
