Project NoSpank
Project NoSpank is the website of Parents and Teachers Against Violence in Education, Inc., an American anti-spanking organization. Its cause is to illegalize disciplinary spanking of children for punishment, both regarding school corporal punishment and parental, domestic spanking, in countries that have no national-level bans against the same, such as the USA
They take the view that any form of corporal punishment of children constitutes child abuse and maltreatment and has devastating negative effects on the emotional and physical well-being of the victims of such punishment. They liken disciplinary spanking to legal offenses such as assault and battery that already apply to adults and argue that the same protection that adults enjoy should be given even more so to children who are more vulnerable.
The organisation's views on consensual spanking, fun spanking, domestic discipline etc. are unknown - when they talk about spanking they mean the nonconsensual punishment of minors.
