Mario Casilli was a Playboy photographer from 1962 until 1981, who did 57 gatefold shoots during his career, as well as many other photos for the magazine, including for its cover. He photographed such notable models as Christa Speck, Jo Collins and Claudia Jennings.

He also contributed stills to the films Star 80 (1983) and Nuts (1987).
