Geschichte des Flagellantismus unter besonderer Berücksichtigung der Religionsgebräuche, des Erziehungswesens, der Sklaverei, der Strafrechtspflege und verwandter Materien (en: History of flagellantism, with special reference to religious usage, education, slavery, criminal justice and related matters, translated by Georg Friedrich Collas) is a book by Carl Felix von Schlichtegroll. Its first volume was first published in Leipzig in 1913. It is not known whether any other volumes were ever written or published.

The book discusses the history of flagellation and spanking in antiquity, with respect to religion, pedagogics, slavery, judicial corporal punishment and other areas.

Other editions

In 1932, the book was reissued (also in Leipzig) under the title Der Flagellantismus im Altertum. For this issue, the author used the pseudonym Georg Friedrich Collas.
