- WHO ARE WE?
The Group With No Name (or GWNN-pronounced Gwen) is a Central Texas-based pansexual, social, and common interest organization that serves as a gateway organization focusing on education, advocacy, acceptance, and social interaction for the alternative sexuality and kink lifestyle. It is non-commercial, not-for-profit, and dues-free. It exists to provide a positive and dynamic environment for people to meet others with a similar social interest in bondage, domination, submission, sadism, masochism, and other related topics. Toward that end, GWNN attempts to foster community and encourage interaction through social events and functions.
- WHY DON'T WE HAVE A NAME?
Originally, we started out in 1993 by just organizing dinner socials for interested people. At that time, we did not think there was sufficient interest in a full organization here in Austin. Other attempts at starting full BDSM organizations had fallen flat. Because of this, we decided not to make up a full organization, complete with a snappy name right at the outset. As it turned out, there was in fact sufficient interest, but by the time we realized that people had grown used to us being “The Group With No Name”.
- WHY ARE WE HERE?
We are here to have fun! The primary purpose is social, along with support and education in a social setting. To this end, we host monthly socials (munches) so people can meet and get to know one another in a comfortable setting. In addition, we host BDSM play parties for our members in the Austin, Texas, area. The parties are open to all members and their guests. Note that we ask that people attend at least one munch before coming to a party. This functions as our orientation to the group, as well as a chance for new people to meet some of the others so that their first-party experience is more comfortable.

Held the 3rd Saturday of the month from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
A social gathering in a very laid-back setting for people involved in or interested in BDSM to socialize, hear announcements of happenings in our local community, and a place to discuss BDSM experiences. Come join us!
Free, just pay for your own food and drink. Tip your server! You do not have to purchase anything to attend.
Austin casual - collars & vests are OK but don't scare the vanilla!
Location: Tres Amigos - 7535 East US Highway 290, Austin, TX 78723 Due to COVID most restaurants are short-staffed and are not taking large groups without charging a fee or guarantee a certain amount of sales.
In-person Munches are subject to current COVID guidelines and risks.
