Astonishing Stories was a science fiction pulp magazine that was published in the United States in the early 1940s. It was a companion publication to Super Science Stories.

The first edition of Astonishing Stories was published in February 1940. It published a total of 16 editions and ceased publication after the April 1943 edition. The 16 editions feature stories by Isaac Asimov, Alfred Bester, Leigh Brackett, Clifford Simak, E. E. Smith, Manly Wade Wellman, and others.

The magazine was published by Popular Publication and had a cover price of 10 cents; each edition contained 112 pages. From 1940 to September 1941 the editor was Frederik Pohl. Alden H. Norton was the editor for the remainder of the publication's existence.
