Because of users automatically creating accounts for vandalism, SM-201 has been forced to prevent usernames being created that are too similar to existing usernames
Instructions:
- Click this link and fill out both fields.
- If that page is not working, you can send a plain email to the mailing list. Be sure to include your requested Username and a valid email address. Do NOT include a password, one will be randomly generated for you.
- Note: Please understand that we are not able to recover or delete accounts on this list. If you forget a password or email address, then we cannot recover it.
- Check back at your e-mail inbox for any possible updates or problems that may occur with your request.
- Once your account has been made successfully, you will receive an automated e-mail from the SM-201 Administrator stating your login credentials. You can use these to log in where you will then be prompted to create a new password.
Your username must not:
- be offensive or confusing
- contain names of celebrities, notable world figures or events, or known Wikipedians
- contain existing company, organization, or group names (including non-profit organizations)
- contain words like "bot" or "script" that refer to automated editing processes
- contain titles like "admin" or "sysop" that imply authority on Wikipedia
- contain domain names or email addresses
For more information about which usernames are acceptable on Wikipedia, see our username policy.
Administrators and experienced users: Instructions on how to act on requests (including creating an account) can be found here.
