Biography
Esmé Bianco is an English model, actress and burlesque performer. She was born in St Albans, Hertfordshire and spent her adolescence growing up on Merseyside. Her father is a scientist and her mother is a nurse. She has one older brother.
As a child Esmé trained as a dancer; specialising in modern, tap and jazz. She also studied at Stagecoach Theatre School, and won several drama awards whilst at school.
Esmé moved to London when she was 18 where she studied for a degree in Drama and Theatre Arts at Goldsmiths, University of London. Once in London Esmé started to pursue a career in modeling, specialising in pin-up and fetish. She began modeling for lingerie label 'Agent Provocateur' in their 2003 campaign, and went on to record vocals for two tracks on their album 'Peep Show'. Whilst at university Esmé started performing 'neo' burlesque and cabaret shows, and has performed across the globe. Her signature show is 'White Wedding' in which she bursts out of a giant wedding cake in a wedding gown.
Shoe designer Terry de Havilland, for whom Esmé has modelled, named a pair of his shoes after her.
Esmé has posed for painters Christian Furr and Peregrine Heathcote.
Esmé Bianco is her real name.
Acting
Esmé has acted in a number of short films, most notably Dolls (2006) directed by Susan Luciani in which she plays the lead role of Mouche. The film featured voice overs from Charles Dance and Joanna Lumley.
Feature films parts include independent British feature Burlesque Fairytales in which she stars as 'Mother' in one of the tales, Chemical Wedding which is due to be released in May 2008, and 'The Big I Am' (in which she acts opposite Steven Berkoff) which is currently in production.
