Fanny and Alexander (original title Fanny och Alexander) is a 1982 movie directed by Ingmar Bergman.
The spanking scene
Alexander, a 10-year-old boy, is accused of lying by his step-father, the stern bishop. He is shown and told of three possible types of punishment to correct his behavior: a) castor oil, b) being locked up in a filthy place, c) a spanking. He chooses the cane (M/B spanking).
