The "Pride Flag" typically refers to one of the three flags representing parts of the LGBT movement:

The phrase can also sometimes also refer to flags from related sexual communities or sexual freedom movements:

  • The Ownership Flag - intended to represent the Ownership subculture. The stripes of the flag and the red colour of the shield were inspired by the Leather Pride Flag, with black and white chosen to represent the "cage bar" stripes of convict uniforms, and the sharp distinction between owners and owned.

  • The Queer Pagan Flag was designed in 1997 by Laura Anne Seabrook, with the addition of a white Galla Symbol in centre to indicate a transgender reference. It was first flown in the 2006 Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade (minus Galla symbol), as part of the "Bi-Bachanalia" entry.

The symbolism of imposing a black field and pentagram over the standard rainbow flag represents the intersection of Queer and Neo-Pagan communities, and is intended as a general symbol for Queer Pagans.
