The Doorposts If-Then Chart is disciplinary tool popular with home-schooling families. The chart is "designed to help you be more consistent in disciplining your children."

The If-Then Chart has three columns. The left hand column has an offence and a simple cartoon. The middle column has scripture (a Bible verse) relevant to the offence. The third column is blank and is where the parent writes in the consequence.

While the punishments are left up to the parents, the pre-written consequences include drawings of wooden spoons and spanking sticks, one intended for each 'swat'.

On the TV talk show Dr. Phil ("Biggest Mistakes Parents Make"), a mother described using an If-Then Chart for the application of "2 spanks + time-out in the room" when her daughter disobeyed her in a store.

Doorposts also sells a Blessing Chart that follows a similar format except that it focuses on the positive, rewarding good behavior.
