Chapter 11 - Nose rings

Eastern women, wearing jewels in their nostrils or one nostril, have always attracted me, as I find the glint of a jewel in the side of a nose does a great deal for these women, for most of them have well shaped handsome features and this jewel adds feminine sparkle to their features. Only once or twice have I seen anyone wearing an ornament from the centre of the nose, through the septum, but that too, had a great deal to be said for it too. Illustrations in books I had seen of women, with savagely thick rings through ears, such as Ethel could now wear with ease, or with a multitude of rings all round the ears, which I had in mind already, with the piercings done in her lobes, with the ones attempted in the top edge, but now lost, it was a project still to come.

Now I had many time intimated to Ethel that I would like to pierce her nose, both nostrils and her septum, but the septum presented some problem, as we did not know at that time how to do them and allow them to heal without comment. There were ways I suppose, for I could have pierced her nostrils and put in thick jewelled studs or sleeper rings and sent her out like that to brazen it out, which would certainly have worked; but we were extremely sensitive at that time about public opinion and comment. Or I suppose I could have done it for her and kept her out of sight for a month or more until the holes were established. However, after my experience with the gristle on the ear tops I realised it might take 3 months or more before they healed through permanently. So this idea was put on one side to see what could be done later. Or I could have burned them in, with a red hot electric wire, but that was something I knew little about and was painful, for I tried this experiment on my cars once, using a short length of thin nichrome wire and connected the ends to a 12 volt battery. The wire glowed red hot and the flesh smoked and went black. The pain was terrific for a time. I had a great deal of trouble to make them grow over. It took weeks, so I think this can be done.

However the septum was a different proposition as I had proved on myself some years ago. The piercing had gone, so far as I could see, but I was determined to do it again one day. If done well up inside the nose it was practically invisible. So I suggested to Ethel that she should let me pierce a hole through her septum.

To prove to her I showed her it was quite thin in places and very easy to pierce, as I told her that I had done my own some time ago as a trial effort and neither she nor anyone else had suspected anything. Naturally pretended not to believe me. So when I had the chance, I sterilised my septum, boiled the little silver stud I was to use, and the piercing tool, then all prepared, I selected the spot, well up in the septum, and to the front of my nose point. I put the needle point inside, and my finger up the other nostril, moved the point around until I found a nice thin spot, well up out of sight, then not pausing to reflect, I pushed hard on the handle, felt a slight prick as the point went in, then as I pushed harder the pain increased slightly, but I could feel the point was through and soon the tube was also transfixing my septum from side to side. Taking out the steel point I put the stem of the stud in the tube and pushed it back, pulled away the tube, and after some struggles I got the small nut screwed on. My septum was pierced and with very little pain. Within a week I had almost forgotten it was there and I was sure it had healed through to become permanent in a month.

It must have been there quite a month, before Ethel in bed one morning said, "What is that up your nose? I think you have pierced it." I said I had done it over a month before, and she would not have seen it even then if she had not been lying beside me with the light shining up my nose. I therefore could prove to her that it could be done and also that it was not easy to see. Also she could take my word for it that it had hurt very little. I said I had done it to prove to her what I had said, and what an easy job it was to do. That when the she was ready I would take it out and put it in her nose.

So after considerable talking a coaxing she gave her consent to the piercing of her septum and named the day. I think she was honest and really wanted me to do it for her, but when it eventually came to the crunch on that day, and I had all the tools ready for the job, her nerve failed her and she refused to let me touch her nose at all. After some argument she stretched out on the floor, where I thought I could get a better view up her nose, but again, when I approached her septum with the piercer she quivered in terror, so again she refused to go on with it.

She said, "The trouble is that I can see the piercer right in front of my eyes and I know what is to happen, then I cannot screw up myself to the last minute for the job to be done. I do want it done, but wish there was some way it could be done, that would make me unconscious for that vital moment when you push the needle through." I said, "I might blindfold you." So we tried that, but she could feel me this time and her imagination ran riot, so that again she repelled me. She said, "Can't you dope me in some way to put me to sleep?"

I tried to give her a dose of Chloral Hydrate, which she took. It made her sleepy, but not enough, so that the was still aware of me, and jibbed again. Then she said, "Can't you chloroform me?" knowing that I had a very comprehensive collection of chemicals available. Now I had never used anything like that before for that purpose but I knew that it could be dangerous if I gave her too much. But as I did not want to send her right off, just to put her into the first stages of unconsciousness, to do the job which would take a very few seconds, by which time the effects of the anaesthetic would be wearing off.

I therefore mixed up some chloroform, ether and alcohol, which was considered safer then pure chloroform, and I made a cone frame covered with cotton wool to go over her nose. Then she laid down on the bench before me, and with strings from each wrist. These were tied down to screws in the bench and I also tied down her ankles, so she was now quite helpless. A pillow was placed under her head and her eyes blindfolded. The cotton wool mask was fixed on a retort stand and it could be swung out of the way instantly. The tools were already sterilised and lay in the antiseptic bath beside her head. I could now come up behind her head. To quieten her I gave her a dose of chloral hydrate and then I left her a while to settle down, so she should not see the preparations and so get flustered. At last she was quiet before me and allowed me to bathe and sterilise the septum.

There was the piercer ready and the silver stud, from my nose too, (which I had replaced by one of the second studs I had used to stretch her ears) about 1/16 inch thick with a tiny nut to fit on the screwed end, also sterilised. She said, "You will chloroform me so I don't feel you at work?" Now I swung out the cotton wool covered inverted frame and brought it down over her nose. It could be swung aside by a mere touch. Everything was now ready for the little operation.

I carefully spilled out a few drops of the A.E.C. mixture on the cotton wool so she began to breathe it deeply. I added a few more drops, drop by drop and soon I could tell by her breathing that she was going under. Her lower jaw dropped and she began to snore. She was just under and I could begin. I swung the frame away to one side, picked up the piercing tool and selected the spot I required, well up the septum near the front end of her nose, where I could feel the flesh was thin and easy to pierce. I slipped a small cork up one nostril, the left one, and brought the needle point into position. She felt it and began to tremble, for she was only partially under. She mumbled, "You are not going to do it yet, are you?"

To quieten her I said, "No I am still cleaning it." But actually it was all ready and all that was required was the quick push to drive the needle and tube home. As soon as she was calm again I gave the handle a hard quick thrust and felt it crunch home, through her septum, into the cork. The septum was pierced and the silver tube was through. She gave a squirm and a squeal and cried, "What have you done to my nose? You have hurt me. I hope the piercing does not hurt like that!"

I replied, "The job is over and done. I have already pierced it and the silver tube is through from side to side." It was a thrill to see it there crossing under her lifted nostrils. She was most surprised to find it already done and she had to admit that it had really not hurt as much as she had expected. She also said she was sorry that she had been such a coward in the beginning. I finished the job by screwing the stud apart from the tube after pulling it right home leaving the stud in place, after telling her the what I was doing. I pushed my finger inside on to the head of the stud and pushed it forward ready to receive the nut on the other screwed end. It was a bit awkward getting the nut into position in the confined space up her nostril, but I had foreseen this and made a small wooden grip for it, like a tiny box spanner. Pointing the screwed end downwards, presenting the nut to it, gave the wood grip a few turns, felt it bite on the thread, then screwed it tight, pulled away the wooden grip, and I could at last let her see it there in the, mirror I held before her.

There had been no bleeding whatsoever. Then as Ethel was prepared for piercing I took the opportunity to put a piercing into the middle of the side of one of her ear rims, this time it was tough gristle to pierce and it was done without bleeding. I wanted to do the other side, but by this tine Ethel had had enough, so I called it a day, as had done what I had set out to do and the extra piercing was a bonus. It was a very long time before I could get one in the other ear rim to match.

I released her and she inspected and felt her nose, felt the tiny stud in place through her septum, and admitted that it could only be seen with difficulty, nor did it hurt now in the slightest. In fact within a week she had forgotten it was there and we left it there for some months to become established. When it did come nut at last, it was fascinating to see her hand a pendant through her perforated septum. She said it gave her a thrilling sensation to feel it swinging from that spot and tapping against her lip.

I told her then that I wanted to stretch her septum like her ears, so she could wear a thick ring through her nose. Strangely enough she was not adverse to the idea, which suggests that women are really savages it heart. So one day, after some coaxing she took the first tapering spear and began to push it home. It was very painful as I know myself, and the tears started from her eyes but she persisted, and I hugged and kissed her to help so eventually she drove it steadily and completely home, until with a sign of relief the 3/32 inch stud was in place and the nut put on. My own septum had likewise twice been stretched from the 3/32 inch to 1/8 inch, then up to 3/16 inch, just to give her inspiration for what was to be.

As with her ears, her nose was sore for a couple of days, but after it week the new stud was just a part of her. So after a month we tried the next spear. This, too, was painful, but after a struggle, with persistence on her part and mine it was home and she hold up her tortured, pierced nose to be kissed, while I put the nut on the 1/8 inch thick stud. I was only too pleased to reward her with many kisses. Another month allowed us to put the 3/32 inch stud in place then after a brief period of a month we were able to fit her septum with a stud made of' black ebonite, 3/16 inch thick which soon settled in. She wore this short stud for many months without removal and it became just a part of her. Her sister did notice it one day, and passed a remark about it but really it could only be seen at certain angles and lighting.

As for my own septum, I had pushed on with this piercing also and by two steps I had produced a hole a full ½ inch diameter, through which I could now wear one of the silvered bull rings if I wished. Usually I wore a pink plug of xylonite through it, which was hardly seen. I had one of the 5/32 inch rings I had made, about 1½ inches across, of silver, which I had used in her ears and when I took out the 3/16" stud I could see through her septum and he could easily insert the solid silver ring and close it up. This ring, hanging from the centre of her nose, gave her a very savage appearance, not in keeping with her dainty figure, but nevertheless most attractive to my eyes. With the large silvered rings in her ears the total effect was terrific.

I told her that one day I wanted to pierce her nostrils and also her breast nipples, for I hoped that would help to develop her breasts. But these treats were postponed time after time and soon she maybe thought I had forgotten them, or hoped so. She never wore her nose ring in public at that time, only for my private viewing. I found it extremely attractive in a sexual way, even if barbaric. If she wanted to turn me on she would put it place and then flaunt her ringed nose before me, saying that it gave her a great thrill to do it, and to feel it tapping on her upper lip was delightful to herself. She certainly got all the loving she wanted while so decorated. Certainly she was a savage at heart, for she showed no inhibitions about wearing it at home, where it could swing freely in the permanent hole I had made for her. She would lot me pull it and pass it round and had round through the piercing, saying it gave her an exotic thrill when I did so.

Sometimes she thrust a length of 3/16 inch thick plastic knitting needle, or a big feather through from side to side, which looked very barbaric in the extreme. The ebonite rod always returned back to its place quite easily, in fact before long she could get it in and out without unscrewing it, just unbuttoned it in and out, so the hole was quite loose.

One day, when she had the rings in her ears and nose, just wearing her corsets and heels, flaunting her ornaments and shape before me to get sexually turned on, myself and her as well I said, "I think you like all this now. You would like to be able to show it off to the world and dress like that all the time. Do you find it has now become an obsession, because you like myself find you get a sexual stimulation from these things in some way that makes them worth while the suffering necessary to get there. It must be the primitive inside you and I coming out."

She said, "Well, somehow it does grow upon one and there is a fascination about it all, although I never suspected it would be so until I tried it." I said, "I guess you would like to wear a thick ring, like I can through your nose, or a thick spike, even a chicken bone through your septum, heavy rings through your nostrils too. Even rings through your nipples. How would you feel to have a big stud put through each cheek and your lips pierced and then stretched by discs in them, maybe as big as tea saucers?" She replied, "Well, if we were somewhere on our own, I would let you pierce my cheeks and lips and later let you put big discs in them, if you wanted it, also have my ears loaded with rings too, and certainly my breasts. It would be thrilling to be a real little savage. What is more, I would put them in you too. Ears, nose, cheeks, lips and certainly into your penis."

It was a revelation as to what she was like inside her mind.
