Chain body harness

A few days ago, someone asked how to build a chain body harness that could be worn under clothes, and yet not be removed. Being a cheap thrifty person, my first concern is to not waste money, nor to end up with a lot of little pieces of chain which are too short for any possible future use. (Welded link chain is expensive, and once cut, the links can not unable to be reconnected!) This harness with very little modification could be used for males or females.

I wanted to show plans for an inexpensive and easy to create harness so that other people could replicate it, without the use of special tools.

I used inexpensive rope (you could also use ribbons) and connection rings to build a temporary harness pattern to fit my needs and desires. Use your imagination -- how do you want the harness to look, feel, and fit. Remember that when you are designing a harness made of chain, that the size/fit will be plus or minus the length of one link. The larger the chain link, the less adjustment is possible. (A single link of the anchor chain aboard the USS Ronald Reagan weighs 365 pounds -- So you might want to calculate the size and total weight of the harness you are designing!)

Using scissors, I cut the harness pattern from her body, paying attention to front and back orientation.

  1. Connect single links of chain to the rings.
  2. Connect locks from the single links to the remainder of the chain and
  3. cut the pieces to fit the lengths of rope that form the rope pattern.

Using the single links from the rings to the chain will allow the locks to fit flat against her body.

I wanted this harness to

  • stay on and not be capable of being removed. To accomplish this, I designed a piece of lockable chain to go between the legs and connect to the rest of the harness, and,
  • be capable of being worn for several days at a time, under clothes, night and day. To accomplish this, I used a small welded lock chains and locks.
Installation <g>

Place the two shoulder pieces on each side of the neck. The long back piece is then pulled between the legs and locked in place just between the neck. Lock the upper and lower body chains in place, and viola! a harness that can only be removed by the key holder.

Second style

  • The piece of chain, as shown is about eleven feet long.
  • Place the chain on the floor and fold it in half.
  • Place a lock at the center of the folded chain.
  • Place a second lock about twelve inches toward the free ends (away from the fold) of the chain.
  • Place the center of the folded chain over your head, and at the back of your neck.
  • Twist the chain so that it crosses just beneath your breasts.
  • Pass the ends of the chain between your legs so that the two locks are opposite one another
  • Lock each of the free ends to the folded section at each side of your hips.
  • This type of harness is pretty difficult to get out of.
