Rubberised cloth is cloth (normally cotton) that has been covered (usually only on one side) with a thin layer of liquid latex to give a smooth, waterproof, often shiny finish. It is often used in the manufacture of Mackintoshes, sou'westers and other rainwear.
Swimwear made of this material is also available.
