Betty Bryant was born on June 27, 1920 in Bristol, England as Elizabeth Bryant. She was an actress, known for 40,000 Horsemen" (1940), Saigon" (1947) and Girl Talk" (1967).
She emigrated from the UK to Australia with her mother, aged 4, after the death of her father.
She was married to Maurice Silverstein (8 August 1941 - 6 September 1999-his death) They had three children.
At the end of the Second World War her husband returned to MGM eventually winding up as president of MGM International.
She received a humanitarian service award from Hilary Clinton for her work with the "Foundation for the Peoples of the South Pacific."
She died on October 3, 2005 in Seattle, Washington, USA.
