When BackDrop was in Hayward, we often met for dinner, cocktails, and events at the Red Cape Inn on Mission Street in Hayward, California.
Several BackDrop members and staff members would arrive early and put several tables together. We would put our car keys on the table to provide a key code to let people know who we were.
It was not uncommon for people to meet at the lounge and check into a hotel room for the night.
