If you are not Italian you can't possibly understand the huge work Ayzad has done for divulging proper BDSM in a country^{[Note 1]} oppressed by social and religious pressure.

Formerly an author of BDSM erotica, he wrote a monster book (800 pages) explaining in depth but in layman's terms the highs and lows of BDSM. He became the first person to lecture about this theme in universities (where I first met him) in our country. For many years he has been organizing BDSM and fetish parties for interested people to meet in a safe setting, and he does lots of other educational activities on the side.

He is also well known in my country because of the constant harassments the media are giving him and for the battles for free speech and proper sexual education he fights.

I became a great fan of him (of course), but it pains me that he remains virtually unknown among foreign BDSM people. I hope this nomination may be a way to repay him for all the things he did to make mine and many other kinksters' lives better.
