Alexandre Dupouy, author of Scenes Orientales, has produced a 120 hand colored photographs with a unique feel somewhere between the orientalist painters and modern fetish photography. The subject matter is naked women either individually or more often in groups, in a harem setting. Very little happens in the images, and some resemble a still life, but others do have hints of an underlying narrative.
