Private Media Group, Inc. NASDAQ: PRVT is a pornography production and distribution company that distributes its content via print publications, DVDs, the internet, and mobile handsets.
Private magazine was established in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1965 as the world's first full-color hardcore magazine by Berth Milton Sr. In the early 1990s, his son Berth Milton Jr. took over and moved the company's headquarters to Sant Cugat del Vallès, Barcelona, Spain, although the company is incorporated in Nevada. Milton also started to produce movies and internet content, and in 1999, Private became the first adult entertainment company to be traded on the NASDAQ stock market.
Movies
Private is known for high budget movies directed by Pierre Woodman (who left the company in 1999 but re-joined in 2005) and by Alessandro del Mar. In 2004 del Mar released his two-part series Millionaire with a reported budget of $1.9 million. In the last decades, Private Media Group has earned over 130 adult industry awards. Bestselling DVD releases include the Private Gladiator series, Cleopatra, Millionaire and Chateau.
Many starlets made their debut and/or got famous making movies at Private, including Silvia Saint, Alexa May, Tania Russof, Monica Sweetheart, Monique Covét, Laura Angel, Sophie Evans, Cassandra Wilde, Dora Venter, Claudia Ferrari, Nikki Anderson and Michelle Wild. Most performers earn €1500-2500 per scene, while top stars earn up to €20,000 per scene.

Berth H. Milton Chairman, president, and chief executive officer
Berth H. Milton was appointed to the Board of Directors of Private Media Group, Inc. in February 1998 and was the Corporate Secretary from June 1998 until February 1999. In February 1999 Mr. Milton was appointed Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Milton has been Administrator of Milcap Media Group from its inception until June 2000 and has been acting as an advisor to Milcap Media Group since 1991.
In 2008, as a result of Company’s continuing transition from traditional to digital content distribution, DVD & Magazine sales are decreasing, offset by increased Internet, wireless and broadcasting sales. Berth H. Milton expects Internet, wireless and broadcasting sales to increase significantly, given the rapid growth of these platforms and Private’s leadership role in the adult entertainment category.
