Mistress Lana White

Lana White can fool you. Barely five foot, she is deceiving in her ability to control slaves twice her weight and half again her size. Once under her control, the slave has no trouble in figuring out that size makes absolutely no difference. The ropes are expertly placed and drawn tight, as our pictures show. Mistress Lana has a stable of slaves, but none would consent to be photographed, and we both understand and respect that.

So, we called on those whom we could count on to understand Mistress LANA: Ward Crenshaw, experienced in the scene and an HOM regular, and Simone Devon, herself well known to those in the field in the Los Angeles area. Before we began, we interviewed Lana at length.

HOM: What's the most important thing in your relationship with a slave?

LANA: Experience. That one word says it all. I have it. The slave must have it. I used to take beginners, people who did not really know themselves well, who didn't know what their limits were or who hadn't really thought through their real needs and likes. I don't work with these people any more. I haven't got the patience for it. Call it age, call it anything you like.

HOM: What's next most important, then?

LANA: Responsibility. I'm well known as one who can be absolutely trusted. I've worked hard on that and I don't take responsibility lightly My slaves must be able to put their trust in me completely. Ocne a session has started, I am the sole judge of what's happening. Just because someone begs me to stop something is absolutely no reason for me to do so unless I determine that it should be stopped. This goes back to the experience I just mentioned. If this is lacking in a session, both parties are being cheated of the reality of what B&D should be. I never gag or blindfold a slave. I want the contact with the eyes and I want the voice, even if it babbles nonsense. I need the feedback to do my work, and the experienced slave knows that.

HOM: With those requirements, how large is your following?

LANA: Those who see me have done so for a long time. I have people I've seen for over ten years. Naturally, people move and situations change, but generally speaking, my slaves are loyal to a fault, and since I'm extremely selective, they occupy as much time as I choose to give them.

HOM: So your stable is full?

LANA: I love to meet new people, but let me stress that I'm truly selective and the attrition rate is quite slow. I'll give you an example. For four years I did practically nothing in the scene at all. I simply left it one day in late 1979. Then, in November of 1983, I entered it again. I didn't advertise that I was back. I did nothing but accept the first session. Now it's as if I'd never left. My full compliment of slaves is in place. Things are as if'nothing had happened, as if I had never left.

HOM: That speaks quite well for your reputation.

LANA: I think so. I wasn't surprise by it. I think I earned it. I also think that it has to do with the screening process. For instance, all dialogue takes place by mail. Once a slave arrives at my door, nothing is said. Commands are obeyed. I am not into the fantasies where there is humiliation or where the slave begs. I am solely into the function of pain and its response.

HOM: You mention limits.

LANA: In the sense of responsibility, yes. You see, if something makes you scream, that's no? a limit; that's just noise. If a slave doesn't like it any more, that's not a limit; that's just the slave's opinion. As I said, I am the judge of what is happening, of the reality of the situation. That's why I demand the experienced slave. They know themselves and they know what to expect.

HOM: Can people request things?

LANA: Sure. They can request all they want. I've had people who pass the experience hurdle give me a request for certain costumes, etc. I listen. When the session starts in my playroom, I always dress in a different way than what the slave requested. Every time I do this, the slave always returns eagerly again. It's more a lesson for the slave than anything else. It explains the slave to himself.

HOM: You mentioned pain response.

LANA: Yes. The response should follow my lead. I always lead the slave through what I want to achieve. I figure two hours is the proper length. All that's necessary can be done in that time. If a session is only an hour, a lot of people get it into their head that they can hold out for that time, but few make it into that second hour. I watch people carefully. I notice everything that's happening—everything. My people are people to me. I give them my full and concentrated attention, and I expect the same in return I study the reactions carefully and make every attempt to lead the slave into ground that he or she did not know they were capable of and in doing so they find their true selves, their own beings in S&M.

HOM: You mean what you say about pain?

LANA: I always mean what I say. People must understand that it will hurt. That is what I meant by experience. If I see that a person is not into the situation, I stop and immediately eject them from my premises without comment. They are never to return, for they have wasted my time and theirs as well.

HOM: And that's why you don't see beginners?

LANA: Correct.

HOM: We suspect that there must be a point in each session where things drastically change for the slave.

LANA: Exactly. I refer to it as the crossover point, that point where the pain ceases to be pain and turns slowly to pleasure. It's rarely achieved in sessions where the inexperienced are present. It always occurs when experienced people are there. It makes that session completely different and of a vastly higher quality than anyone else can possibly expect to find. That is why I have been as successful as I have been and why people come back again and again. I'm real. I really believe in what I do and I work hard at it. I never misrepresent it. I always inform the slave of what to expect.

HOM: You give close attention to the psychological aspects, then?

LANA: Yes. I have the belief that everyone is somewhere on three scales: aggressive/passive, dominant/submissive, and sadistic/masochistic. The problem : facing me in the sessions—and certainly , the problem of the slave—is to place the slave in the correct position on each of those scales. I consider that my sole function. That is what I bring to the situation, all of it through the pain/response syndrome.

HOM: When you use bondage, is it always rope?

LANA: Yes. I've found that it allows for better expression on my part. I've rarely repeated a tie or position—even from slave to slave—and I have infinite control as to stringency.

HOM: You seem to know your knots.

LANA: Yes. I take great pride in what I'm doing with rope. I consider it an art. Most of what I see is bad bondage. People don't use real knots; they tie something else, something sloppy and knots that are not real. I use bowlines, sheet bends, running hitches, etc. All are bona fide knots, invented for specific purposes. I hate it when people fumble or try and reinvent the wheel knot-wise.

HOM: The bondage is also very secure.

LANA: Yes. In what we're about to do, even with Ward, who certainly is personally into the scene, I'm not going to tighten things to the limits. After all, this is a photo session, not a real session, per se. As you can see from the accompanying pictures, Ward rose to the occasion, so to speak, when confronted with Lana's special ball vise and a few other little toys imported from the San Francisco Bay especially for the photo session. We fust let Lana do her own thing and went with the flow. The photographs speak for themselves.

In 1992 I was invited to a party hosted by Crazy Sharon, as we called her. Crazy Shar , I had met a few years earlier at Walt Thomas's house , the treasurer of Threshold in LA. I had tied her up on the floor and we all watched to see if she could escape. Did she????? I cant remember???? The point was putting her into bondage in the first place. Anyway she was hosting a party that night and in attendance were POD and Lady Cynthia, Mistress Antoinette, Goddess Sondra Rey (Reno) , and Mistress Leah Lafleur! Most of the night I talked to Mistress Antoinette , her husband Zorro and Goddess Sondra Rey and her husband. I met Mistress Leah that night but we didn't talk that much.

A few months later she called me and we had conversations on the phone almost every day. We would talk about our slaves and especially our dogs! One day I had someone call who wanted to see both of us. I called her to set up a time for slave Wendell who was visiting me for the week. We arrived around 7:30 that night and set around talking before having a session. I haven't seen her since the party ,,,,,,she looked the same! Finally Wendell had the courage to go up stairs and lay out his Mistress's attire.

I said, "So. Mistress Leah do you think this slave is deserving??"

She notted and up the stairs we went to her attic dungeon. It was was a maze of B&D equipment! Wendell was hung, paddled , whipped, had nipple clamps on and all sorts of things done! Then after 2 hrs of this we blindfolded him! With the blindfold in place we tied him to a table! I asked him,,,,, " How would you like to have YOUR Mistress give you a blow job?"

Now that's the time Mistress Leah's slave arrived!! Unknown to Wendell we bought him into the dungeon where he proceed to go down on Wendell!! "Do you like what your Mistress is doing? " Mistress Leah asked.

Wendell must have liked it because he soon became fully erect.

Then all of a sudden,,,,,, he CAME!!!!!! Like a volcanic eruption!!

"Wendell how did you like it?"

" Mistress it was wonderful!!!"

That's when we took off the blindfold and for the first time he saw it was a slave and not me! Mistress Michelle

rue Confessions by Mistress Leah Lafleur

There are many autobiographies on the market, but probably done that deal with the issues Lafleur has chosen to divulge. This tell-all book begins by revealing a little of her heritage that includes a sadistic lumberjack father. Raised in the desolate woods of the Northeast where she attended an girl's parochial school. Leah finally escapes the confines of her father and the nuns to find her mother and protect her from an alcoholic step-father.

Two elements are unique in Ms. Lafleur's writings. Each chapter is written with-ascpect from that time frame, creating a feeling that helps the reader to grow up with her. The first chapter is written from a child's eye, the second with rebellious teenage flare, the third is a naive young woman's plight, so on and so forth.

This allows the reader to mature right along with the writer. The second chapter will take you from the back woods to the fast city life of Los Angeles, where Leah encounters a culture shock.

She tries to blend in by becoming someone she's not. Like many teenagers, Lafleur finds herself pregnant before abortions were legal. Unwilling to give the baby up for adoption, her mother walks out on her and returns to the forest of New England.

Chapter three forces Leah to age rapidly. The baby's father was unable to handle responsibility of a family so he enlisted in the army. Leaving a scared teenager and her baby alone to fend for themselves. Much havoc takes place along this road and a repressed memory is uncovered while recording her experiences.

Once the boyfriend's tour of duty is over, so is his relationship with Leah. Now it is Leah's time to turn her back on responsibility. She allows the child's father to have custody of their seven year old daughter while she runs a muck exploring the wild single life. A time of drinking, drug use, free sex and jails.

In chapter four you will notice that history repeats itself. Like her mother, leah takes up with an abusive lover. A downfall. Once she learns to break the pattern, after he nearly broke her head, she turns completely against men and begins to enjoy the best years of her life.

No one gets through life without any damage. Leah has taken the step to grow from being an unwanted child, to having an unwanted child, to standing tall as an outspoken clone who isn't afraid to expose her failings.

Chapter five examines many of the S/M characters who have crossed her path, their fetishes and her interpretations of the scene.

There are many accounts of parties and perversion.

In the final chapter Lafleur wants nothing more than to be a recluse. To get away from the rough urban environment and violence that surrounds her. Leah might what some men label, an opinionated woman. One who isn't afraid to call it as she sees it. If your preferences are women who are quiet, sitting pretty, subservient and afraid to make waves, then this book will stir you up. "White Tarsh" is not about spies, espionage, adventure, gun fights and car wrecks.

It's a woman's story and women are starting to be heard and tell their emotional stories. Slave to their eggs. most didn't have an opportunity to become spies and adventure seekers. If you're bent on action heroes, there aren't any in this story. If you can't understand or empathize with femininity, then again, this book is not your mug of beer.
