Janet Quist (born August 17, 1955 in Austin, Texas) is an American model and actress. She was Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month for its December 1978 issue. Her centerfold was photographed by Ken Marcus.
Quist was discovered by Playboy through a "Playmate Photo Contest" that the magazine staged in 1977.
Quist's handprint and name in the concrete sidewalk in front of the Rackley Hardware store in downtown Austin was named by the Austin American Statesman as a tourist spot. The hardware store closed in 1998 and the sidewalk was repaved.
Quist had several unaccredited roles in movies before becoming a Playmate. She received significant screen time in Outlaw Blues, a movie set in Austin.
