Saline infusion

Infusion is the act of using a medium gauge hypodermic needle to place a sterile saline water beneath the skin. The most often chosen sites are breasts, penis and scrotal sac but infusion can be done on any part of he body.

Safety

There are several very important things to remember when doing infusions. Prime among them is safety and cleanliness. It is very easy to cause serious infections deep within breast (or other) tissue with non-sterile techniques. So, first, clean the area good with an anti-bacterial soap, then alcohol, and finally with something like betadyne coating. The needles must be new and still in their package before use. and the fluid infused must be something the body will assimilate easily without complications.

What should I use for Infusion?

Saline solution (sterile 0.9% salt water) can be used to "inflate" body parts.

Caution must be taken to ensure that both the saline and the drip tubes and needles are sterile -- if not, a potentially life-threatening infection can easily be drawn inside the body.

What is the best size needle for Infusion?

I like to use a 22ga X 2" or 2 1/2" needle. It's not real large but large enough to allow the saline to fill the breast in a timely manner.

What body parts can be infused?
  • The scrotum,
  • The penile shaft
  • Breasts in both men and women
How long does it take for the "swelling" to go down?

Saline solution can take a few days to reabsorb.
