The frogtie is a bondage position in which a person's legs are bound ankle-to-thigh, in the likeness of a crouched frog. The wrists on each side are often then tied to the wrist/thigh combination on their respective sides.... This tie places the person in a position where they are vulnerable but not completely immobilised and can still move about, albeit in a very awkward crawling motion.

The frogtie position is used for the purpose of restrictive sex position or as a basis for far more restrictive bondage. In a similar position, the person's wrists are simply bound to their corresponding ankles. However, that position can't be fully considered as a frogtie, because it doesn't match the "bound ankle-to-thigh" condition.

A frogtie hogtie is a variant of hogtie bondage in which the victim's legs are tied in a frogtie rather than being tied together. This generally results in the knees being well separated, as in a spread hogtie. It is very difficult to tie the ankles together, so this tie may be omitted.

The arms are tied together at the wrists. There may also be elbow bondage. This may be enough to immobilize the arms, or the wrist ties may be connected to ropes around each ankle, making it more like a conventional hogtie. Alternatively, ropes may go around the arms and torso, pinning the arms to the back; in a woman, these ropes may be linked to breast bondage.
